Parish of the Immaculate Conception, Bicester, Oxfordshire.
The Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord - 25th December 2009.
"Do not be afraid. Look, I bring you news of great joy, a joy to be shared among the whole people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. And here is a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger. And all at once with the angel there was a great throng of the hosts of heaven, praising God with the words: Midnight Mass at St. Barbara's, Ambrosden (left) and at the Immaculate conception, Bicester (right). Richard Evans sings the Christmas Proclamation, Deacon MIchael proclaims the Gospel. " ... by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnete from the Virgin Mary, and was made man." Mas of Christmas Dawn - the story of the Nativity is acted out while Deacon Michael proclaims the Gospel. St. Stephen's Day - the Altar Servers' Guild Mass and presentation of medals.
Glory to god in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those he favours.
